4.  Why can''''t I access the full capacity of the USB Flash drive?
The actual usable memory size is less than what is stated in the product specifications due to Flash memory design, testing and formatting.

5.  Do I need a driver for my USB drive?
If you''''re using Windows XP, Windows 2000, or Windows NT operating system you do not need to install a driver for your USB drive.

6.  Will My USB Flash Drive work with Microsoft''''s Windows operating system?
Additional manufacturer's operating software (a.k.a. driver) is not needed for most Windows operating systems*. However, USB Flash Drives will not work with the Windows NT operating system because Windows NT does not support USB.

7.  Will my USB Flash Drive work on MAC OS system?
If your Mac is using Mac OS 9.0 or later, it should work fine with no driver required.

8.  I dragged files onto my USB drive in Windows, but when I plugged in the drive again the files were gone. Why?
Some operating systems require you to "Eject" your USB drive prior to removing it. You can do this in Windows Explorer by right clicking your USB drive and select "Eject", or you can double click the Eject Hardware icon in the lower right corner of your Windows bar.

9.  I need USB Drives with my own logo printed on them. How fast can KLD do this?
KLD specializes in fast turn around custom logo printing on USB drives. Since our manufacturing is conveniently located in China, we can produce custom logo USB drives in as little as 48 hours. Actual lead time will vary with your requirements and the workload in our factory.  Please contact a KLD sales rep for details on custom printing.

10. My camera doesn''''t recognize my flash card. What do I do now?
First, turn off your camera, remove your flash card, reinstall it, and turn the camera back on. Often reseating the flash card like this will solve the problem. If not, try reformatting the card.

11.How big a flash card should I get?
This totally depends on your application and usage patterns. For digital cameras it's a good idea to have several cards that you can swap out when they''''re full.

12. How long do flash cards last?
KLD flash cards are rated at a minimum of 100,000 write cycles, but they typically last much longer. Our flash cards can retain data without power for up to 10 years.
